Stills For The Digipack

As our music video is set in the fun city of Brighton I thought that I would base my designs for a digipack on this setting. Below are various images of Brighton Pier that I may use as an insert in my digipack.

The image to the left is a dark image of Brighton Pier where we can see the sign beginning to light up. This establishes the setting of the video to the audience. I think that the image to the right is stronger as more of the sign is showing and so it is easily identifyable to the viewer. I also quite like the beach at the base of this image. It looks like the scene is set on a stage and it also makes the image more interesting as there are more lines to draw the eye across the screen.
This image, to the left, has a similar concept. althought this time there is an object travelling vertically up the page. This object has a bright tip which makes the eye become drawn here. This is because the eyes are drawn to light parts of a frame.
This does not make the pier the main focus of the frame but it does make the scene look more busyand adds another dimension. If the strretlight was on and bright this would highlight the time of day. It is also an example of the light source that we are going to be using when we are filming.
As you can see, in the image to the right, the time of day is showing as the images are getting darker. This shows the pier from closer up with alot more of the beach visible. The image looks distanted from the scene that can be captured on Brighton Pier. There are no bright, powerful lights and so the viewer could be unclear of the focal point in the image. I think this image is extremely boring and does not give the viewer a sense of what is happening in the image.

This image is alot more powerful, in my opinion, than the last as there is soime light that captures the viewer. I think that the images would be better if they were darker i.e. the time of day was later, so that the lighting and the pier itself stood out from the background. Therefore I would need to go back at a later time to get the best view.
